| THIS IS A 280SE 4.5, not a 380SE (ad company had no 280SE selection). Showroom condition inside and out. The car was completely restored in 2000 - both the body and the engine. Engine was rebuilt and now has 13,000 miles on it. Runs perfect and all service records available. California car - I am the third owner. Body restoration took one year and was taken down to bare metal. Chrome, interior wood, leather, flooring, seats, dash - all perfect. The engine was rebuilt by a Mercedes specialist is he is available to answer any questions. Always garaged. Appraisal done in 1987 at Mercedes Benz dealer in San Francisco BEFORE all the retoration work was done....they appraised it at $15,000 way back then. Restoration cost was approximately $28,000. The car draws enormous attention when driven or parked. Reason for sale: It is no longer used and is taking up garage space. This is basically a brand new car and is a steal at $20,000.
