| Vehicle Listing Description | Your looking at a very rare Mercedes S55 AMG. Very few are seen on the street. In fact, only around 1,000 have been built each year since 2001. AMG is identified not only by It's hand-built German engine, but It's aggressive styling cues. In terms of power, Car and Driver tested this sedan back in 9/01. It took 5.5 sec to reach 60 mph, and 14.0 to reach a 1/4 mile. Very impressive for a 4,260 pound sedan. My S55 only has 48,500 miles. Always garaged during the winter times, and driven sparingly during spring/summer. My S55 looks and drives great, and what really separates this vehicle from other S55's on the market, is the all important warranty. My warranty is good through 6/18/2011 or 92K (whichever comes first) Remember, most S55's are out of warranty, and the cost to purchase a "detailed" warranty on a AMG vehicle, will cost $4-5K (call around to verify). I have an extremely comprehensive warranty that is easily transferable. Aside from the obvious covered items, engine, trans, etc.. This warranty will also cover the suspension (ABC) , CD player, anti-theft, Navi, and so much more. For serious buyers, I can email a copy of the warranty agreement. Simply put, I've seen other S55's on the market, and their is absolutely no comparison to mine. Most of them have higher mileage, no warranty, and the asking price is similar or even higher. Never been in any accidents, and my S55 has been maintained as required.
Update-10/4/2009: New Michelin Tires ($1,200.00), newer brakes (6 months), fuel filter, factory alarm, and all required service intervals. Slight chip on rear bumper ($750.00 to finish). Great price with extremely low miles.
Update-5/21/2010- (ALL OEM) Schedule B Service-New fuel filter, complete oil change, wiper blades, brake flush, cabin filter, etc.. In addition, some warrant work was done. Replaced both driver and passenger visors (OEM) as light was not working. Warranty co replaced the entire visor (for whatever reason) ,I didnt' complain. Out of pocket costs were about $1,300.00, as I also replaced a power switch that massages the driver ($284.00),Complete buff and wax, with interior trim (All done by Mercedes). Total bill including warranty work was $2,040.00.
